  • “Magnificent Constantia Royale”

  • “Fresh, more zesty than 2015. Lovely aromas of passionfruit & gooseberry on the palate. Richly textured palate, lots of focused flavours with a rounded finish.”

    Paul du Toit
  • “Crisp with a refreshing minerality, gently softened by light fruity flavours.”

    Wade Bales
  • “The most perfect food wine. Classical bright Sauvignon fruits, crisp starfruit, ripe sappy kiwi and sweet tropical lime. Lovely single thread running through from entry to aftertaste. Perfect balance on either side of it.

Refreshing, appetite awakening, zippy, complementary to a good dish, well cooked. Excellent step up from the 2015, awarded a worthy 4 and a half stars in Platters Guide.”

    Michael Olivier
  • Soft and so approachable. While there are some ‘green’ flavours, fynbos herbaceousness and lemon grass, I loved the mouth filling tropical fruits. Canary melon, papaya and grapefruit skin oil. Just the most delicious glass. And so built for al fresco dining on crunchy summer salads, cos lettuce, slivered apple or pear, crumbled goat’s cheese and candied walnuts. Add a tranche of lemon and butter pan fried SASSI Fish and you are on the way to heaven.

    Can’t wait for more.

  • 2015 Constantia Royale… is soft and tropical with thiols aplenty… the wine is remarkably approachable.

    Neil Pendock
  • Fresh, intense clean minerality, flinty, with bold fruit focus. The palate is rich, concentrated and broad with lovely freshness and definition. This is a very stylish and sophisticated wine with good balance and soft controlled acidity.
